Spares and Components of WRT Series Cooling Towers:

Casing

The tower casing is made of tough fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) and has sufficient structural strength to withstand high wind velocities and vibrations. UV-stabilized resin is used with gel coat for longer life. It is resistant to local impact, and even if slight damage occurs, local repairs can be easily done. The portion of casing housing fill and eliminator has a round cross-section in WRT series and square in WST series. The water collection sump (optional), also of FRP, is leak-proof and avoids water spillage.

Fills

The fill is rigid Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) and is of honeycomb design with very large contact surface area. The fill splits air and water into several streams, increasing contact time and improving heat transfer between water and air. The fill is in module form and packed in the tower casing without any curves. Air pressure drop through the fill is negligible. Fills are available with flute heights of 12 mm and 19 mm, with sheet thickness from 0.15 mm to 0.20 mm. Optional trickle fills made of premium quality PP material are also available, offering a combination of: Film fills (for thermal efficiency) Splash fills (for resistance to fouling) These are suitable for applications where water quality is poor with high suspended solids, reducing clogging and fouling.

Axial Fans

Specially designed energy-efficient induced draft axial fans with adjustable pitch are used. Materials are non-corrosive such as plastic, FRP, or aluminum alloy. High-efficiency design ensures low running cost and minimal noise. Fan blades are dynamically balanced.
